32 year cycle of mercury, venus, mars

Hello Simon, i’ve read your updated version of the book and did some small calculations again regarding the occurence of almost identical pattern of sun/venus/mercury/mars exactly 32 years apart.

I was using the usual number for synodic period of mercury and it didn t get close enough to round number, then when re-visiting your book i saw you got a different average synodic period so i tested with it.

Here are all the numbers:

365.25 * 32 = 11688

Mercury - synodic - 11688 / 116.88 = 100
sidereal - 11688 / 365.22 = 32

Venus - synodic - 11688 / 584.4 = 20
sidereal - 11688 / 224.7 = 52.01

Mars - synodic - 11688 / 779.2 = 15
- sidereal - 11688 / 686.9 = 17.01

I know this won’t happen very frequently between 2 real dates 32 years apart, since the numbers are averages over more instances of the real cycles, but i do find it super interesting, both synodic and sidereal cycles of all 3 planets give pretty much perfect integers when related to 32 years period
