Of the many harmonies and ‘dimensional resonances’ one may find within our Solar System, I find the relationships between the diameters of - and distances to the Moon, the Earth and the Sun among the most fascinating. Most people will have heard of the Moon being about 400 x smaller than the Sun and also 400 x closer than the Sun, thus explaining their similar sizes as seen from Earth – and why total solar eclipses can occur. But the ‘dimensional resonances’ do not end there… Let’s take a look at a few more of them.


Moon: ⌀3480 km / Earth: ⌀12756 km / Sun: ⌀1 392 000 km


Moon>Earth: 380 000 km (mean)

Earth>Sun: 152 000 000 km (max)

So here’s what we may compute – to a good degree of approximation :

We may put 3.66 Moon ⌀ across the Earth (12756 / 3480 = 3.66)

We may put 3.66 Moon>Earth distances across the Sun’s disk (1 392 000 / 380 000 = 3.66)

We may put 400 Moon ⌀ across the Sun’s disk (1 392 000 / 3480 = 400)

We may put 400 Earth>Moon distances across the Earth>Sun distance (152 000 000 / 380 000 = 400)

We may put 109.1 Earth ⌀ across the Sun’s disk (1 392 000 / 12756 = 109.1)

We may put 109.1 Sun ⌀ across the Earth>Sun distance (152 000 000 / 1 392 000 = 109.1)

We may put 109.1 Moon ⌀ across the Earth>Moon distance (380000 / 3480 = 109.1)

You may now ask: “What point are you trying to make here, Simon? And what kind of bearing or significance would it have for the TYCHOS model, if any?”

Well, it isn’t as significant to the TYCHOS per se - as it is to highlight the nonsensical absurdities of modern official / academic theories (e.g. the ‘Big Bang’, ‘nebular accretion’ or stellar / planetary / lunar formation). For instance, here’s their prevailing theory regarding the formation of our very own Moon:

“The giant-impact theory is most widely accepted today. This proposes that the Moon formed during a collision between the Earth and another small planet, about the size of the planet Mars. The debris from this impact collected in an orbit around Earth to form the Moon.” How did the Moon form? | Natural History Museum.

Oh, ok – so the fact that our Moon is just about 400 x smaller than the Sun and 400 x closer than the Sun is just a coincidence? And the fact that the Earth is 109.1 x smaller than the Sun, and that the Earth>Sun distance equals 109.1 solar diameters is also a coincidence? And the fact that the Earth>Moon distance equals 109.1 lunar diameters is also a coincidence? And the fact that our Moon is 3.66 x smaller than Earth, and that 3.66 Moon>Earth distances are commensurate to the Sun’s diameter is also another coincidence?..

Good Heavens… What exactly are (mainstream) cosmologists / astrophysicists thinking? Do any of their (mostly ‘chaotic’) theories of planetary / stellar formation make any rational, logical or intuitive sense’? Mind you, the TYCHOS model doesn’t pretend to explain the existence of those remarkable ‘dimensional resonances’ – but at least it observes the caution and humility that any scientific endeavour should duly maintain when faced with enigmas beyond humanity’s current understanding of the workings of our universe.

In short, there can be no serious debate around the formation of our Solar System (and its obvious ‘clockwork nature’) as long as astronomers will indulge in fanciful “chaotic impact” theories and such like – while ignoring the empirically observable and verifiable harmony, order and geometric resonances between the bodies comprised in our system.

Finally, just ask yourselves this question: if the Earth (and its Moon) were just one of various planets revolving around the Sun, why would the Earth-Moon system exhibit such extraordinary ‘dimensional resonances’ vis-à-vis the Sun? Surely, the notion that the Earth-Moon system is located “in the middle” of the Sun’s orbit is, on the face of it, a more sensible proposition.


Chaotic more aptly describes the minds of the theorists rather than the Heavens!

I love those distances in diameters, it’s the only way to make sense of it all. After all, when we describe a race we don’t say a car is leading by a tenth of a mile, we use ‘car lengths’ the same goes for horse racing. It gives a scale that you can wrap your mind around.

When I overlaid these two photos they were exactly the same diameter!

It fluctuates though because of the eccentricity. They won’t always be a perfect fit.

I wonder if it is also location specific? (I think so)

Even wikedpedia has to resort to showing the true sun-earth-moon configuration for eclipses since they essentially would be impossible if the earth were ripping through space at one earth diameter every seven minutes!

For all intents and purposes the sun and the earth are stationary during an eclipse, it’s the fast moving moon that does most of the heavy lifting moving along at about it’s own diameter every hour, roughly. Of course earth’s spin also factors into the duration for a given location.
